Tutto ciò in cui Poppy ha creduto è una bugia, compreso l’uomo di cui si stava innamorando. Spinta tra coloro che la vedono come il simbolo di un regno mostruoso, sa a malapena chi è senza il velo della Fanciulla. Ma quello che sa è che niente è pericoloso per lei quanto lui. L’Oscuro. Il principe di Atlantia. Porca miseria, che bomba!

Wow, che bello. Il secondo volume non perde assolutamente, anzi, e la velocità con cui mi ha nuovamente abbindolata è imbarazzante. Sì, ho un debole per i ragazzacci, soprattutto se hanno la risposta sempre pronta. E sì, resto convinta che l’autrice abbia seguito le orme della Maas perché la familiarità è molta (anche nei titoli) ma in ogni caso li trovo tutti e due deliziosi.

Certo, il numero di pagine non è indifferente, ma il contenuto è davvero ricchissimo. Anche questa volta la Armentrout non ha lesinato sui dettagli ma si sa, quando crei un mondo immaginario devi essere in grado di trasmetterlo con le parole agli occhi dei lettori.

Ho amato ancora una volta lui, l’Oscuro, il cattivo della situazione che più sexy di così non si può, e ho apprezzato davvero la crescita di Poppy. Aggiungo volentieri alla lista Delano e Kieran, sperando che il futuro mi riservi piacevoli sorprese, perché il viaggio assieme è stato ricco di emozioni.

Per il resto mi cucio la bocca, non posso fare nessunissimo spoiler perché non voglio rischiare di rovinare qualcosa di così appetitoso. Ma vi dico solo questo: se non avessi avuto il seguito direttamente sul kindle sarei morta.

Per cui Jennifer, ancora una volta un grandissimo sì.
